VIZIT in antwerp When God was looking for a spot to create Eden his almighty eye caught sight of a tiny piece of land called Antverpia. This is where it shall be, God said, and just a few seconds later Adam and Eve were bickering and fighting near the river Scheldt. Knowing this, it is self evident that the distinguished Antwerpian dialect is in fact the oldest language of the world. At least according to Goropius Becanus who wrote this remarkable theory in his magnus opus ‘Origines Antwerpianae’ (1569).
