Ghent is the ideal place to evoke the Middle Ages. Back then, Ghent was one of the biggest cities in northern Europe, it grew wealthy on the cloth trade. We wander trough the narrow streets, take a look at the well-preserved belfry, the old butcher’s hall, the Castle of the Counts… and learn all about medieval city life.
Combine this walk with a visit to the Count's Castle.
Tour duration: 1h30 or 2h00 (with the visit to the Count's Castle)

NIBBLING THROUGH GHENT
On a tour along the most important sights of Ghent our guides
take the pupils to four typical local stores where they discover
Ghent’s finest delicacies. While they taste some choclates,
sweets, some cheese and fine meats, we tell them all about
the fascinating history of Ghent and the booming present city life!
